Marc Laurenceau presents the D-Day Overlord website, dedicated to one of the most important military operation of World War II: the Battle of Normandy.
D-Day Overlord is the first French website dedicated to the Battle of Normandy in terms of content and visits. It allows you to discover in detail both the Normandy landings and the entire 90 days of the Battle of Normandy, from June 6 to August 29, 1944.
Tribute to D-Day Fighters
The D-Day Overlord website is both an on-line encyclopaedia and a virtual memorial dedicated to those who organized Operation Overlord and the liberation of France, those who were launched against the Atlantic wall, so that they will never be forgotten. It connects historical events with their commemoration today.
Content of the D-Day Overlord website
D-Day Overlord presents over 10,000 pages of rare accounts of veterans, precise explanations of the different military episodes of the 1944 Normandy campaign, maps of operations, very many historical and current photographs of the historical places, reflections on the various movies dedicated to D-Day, a complete bibliography, all the materials used, etc…
D-Day Overlord is a true encyclopaedia of the Normandy landings and battle, to learn and understand all the fights that took place there, to learn who were the soldiers involved and what were their equipment.
