Chevrolet G 7100 truck history
Built in September 1940 by Chevrolet, American trucks of the G4100 series are available in many different versions, adapted to the many uses of ground forces. They exist in version 4×4 (model nicknamed “Chevy”) and 6×6 (“Jimmy”).
A new range of trucks came into being at the end of 1942, including technical updates. These machines are gathered under the name G7100. The cabins are completely metallic and the windshields can open.
There are as many versions of trucks as there are different uses and needs in the field: they are used as cargo, tractor, dumps, transport of ammunition and means of fire fighting and can carry all kinds of materials and ammunition…
