2017 D-Day Commemorations photos
On June 9, 2017, on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the Normandy landings, the D-Day Overlord association, in partnership with Maisy Battery Museum and the Grandcamp-Maisy Commune, organized a ceremony commemorating the assault of the battery by the 5th Ranger Battalion. This event took place at the exact location of the battlefield, 73 years to the day after the end of the fighting.
