Photos from the 2017 D-Day commemorations
On June 6, 2017, the U.S. Army paid tribute to its valiant soldiers who landed 73 years earlier on Omaha Beach, now known as Bloody Omaha. The town hall of Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer expressed its gratitude for the countless sacrifices of the liberators in the presence of veterans and a U.S. Army delegation represented by troops from the 1st and 29th Infantry Divisions.
