Patrick Bunel, the former director of the Airborne Museum of Sainte-Mère-Eglise from 2006 to 2011 was totally cleared by the Caen Court of Appeal. He was prosecuted for false invoices.

This is the end of a judicial history that has been chronicling the past few years. After 2 years of investigation, 150 people heard and two trials … Justice finally did not hold anything against Patrick Bunel. The former director of the Airborne Museum in Sainte-Mère-Eglise had already been acquitted in the first instance in Cherbourg in 2014 for fraud and misappropriation of dozens of collectibles. But the court had sentenced him to 4,000 euros fine for false invoices in 2008 while he was director of the museum. Patrick Bunel had appealed. The decision fell at the beginning of the week. All the accusations against the former director of the Airborne Museum have been lifted: “It restored me in my honor, I waited patiently for the decision of the court and therefore I am cleared of all these accusations. important for me“.
