Throughout the commemorations period, veterans, historians, collectors and visitors have come in the small village of Arromanches were is located the Winston harbor, the famous one used by the Allies during the Normandy campaign in 1944. A landing craft of the modern British Army was stationed on the beach beside the ruins of the harbor still visible.
