On
June
5 and 6,
2009, took place at Bénouville next to the famous Pegasus
Bridge, ceremonies in honor of the British soldiers and paratroopers
who fought there, in the presence of veterans and French military
authorities. Veterans of the Free France Commando led by Major
Kieffer also participated in the commemorations with their British
comrades.
