History of the Enfield Mk 1 pistol

The design of the Enfield Mk I pistol was inspired by the Webley Mark VI pistol, already used in the British Army, but the English wanted to replace it.

The Enfield Mk I pistol was produced between 1926 and 1927 by the Royal Small Arms Factory located in Enfield, Great Britain.

The Enfield Mk I, with a six shots barrel, was commissioned in the British army in 1932.

A new model was produced in 1942, called the Enfield Mk I **. The main change is that the weapon is easier to use and to maintain.
