Day 1 - morning
 

Departure: Caen (14)
Direction: Bénouville (14)
Way to follow (car travel delay: 15 minutes): Exit Caen direction Hérouville-Saint-Clair, then take the Avenue Georges Clemenceau (D 515) in the direction of Ouistreham. Exit Hérouville-Saint-Clair and continue on the D 515. Enter Bénouville, direction Cabourg, cross the bridge Pegasus Bridge and park at the Pegasus Bridge museum (100 meters on the left after the bridge).

Visit:
- Pegasus Bridge museum
- Walking tour of the historical site near the bridge

Departure: Bénouville (14)
Direction: Ouistreham - Riva-Bella (14) - Sword Beach
Way to follow (car travel delay: 10 minutes): Exit Bénouville and take the direction of Ouistreham. Enter the city, heading towards "embarcadaire Car-Ferry", and follow to Riva Bella along the coastal road towards Colleville-Montgomery.

Parking: car park along the coastal road, stop if possible near the Casino
Visit:
- Walking tour of the historical site: Sword Beach, monuments, remains of the beach defenses

Departure: Ouistreham - Riva-Bella (14) - Sword Beach
Direction: Courseulles-sur-Mer (14) - Juno Beach
Way to follow (car travel delay: 35 minutes): Exit Ouistreham and take the direction of Colleville-Montgomery sur la D 35a (route côtière). Dans Colleville-Montgomery prendre la direction de Lion-sur-Mer, then Luc-sur-Mer, Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer, then enter Courseulles-sur-Mer. Follow the road signs leading to the Juno Beach Center and join its car park.

Visit:
- Walking tour of the historical site: the beach, the Lorraine Cross, the bunkers
- Visit of the Juno Beach Center, honoring the Canadian soldiers who took part in the Battle of Normandy


Day 1 - afternoon

Departure: Courseulles-sur-Mer (14) - Juno Beach
Direction: Arromanches-les-bains (14) - Gold Beach - Heights of the town
Way to follow (car travel delay: 20 minutes): Exit Courseulles-sur-Mer toward Asnelles-sur-Mer on the D 514. Exit Asnelles-sur-Mer: on the heights over the artificial harbor, turn right at the car park of the Arromanches 360° Cinema.

Visit:
- Observe the beautiful view of the Arromanches artificial harbor
- Arromanches 360° Theater

Departure: Arromanches-les-bains (14) - Gold Beach - Heights of the town
Direction: Arromanches-les-bains (14) - Gold Beach - Town and beach
Way to follow (car travel delay: 3 minutes): Exit the car park and turn right to take the direction of the center of Arromanches.
Parking: car park in town near the beach
Visit:
- D-Day museum, Place du 6 Juin
- Walking tour of the historical site: the remains of the Arromanches artificial harbor on the beach

Departure: Arromanches-les-bains (14) - Gold Beach - Town and beach
Direction: Longues-sur-Mer (14) - German coastal battery
Way to follow (car travel delay: 10 minutes): Exit Arromanches and take the D 514 in direction of Longues-sur-Mer. In this village, follow the road signs which lead to the German battery.
Parking: car park of the German coastal battery of Longues-sur-Mer
Visit:
- Walking tour of the historical site: the bunkers and the observation post

Departure: Longues-sur-Mer (14) - German coastal battery
Direction: Bayeux (14) - British military cemetery
Way to follow (car travel delay: 15 minutes): Exit Longues-sur-Mer, take the D 104 in direction of Bayeux. In town, follow the road signs which lead to the British military cemetery.

Visit:
- Walking tour at the military cemetery

Departure: Bayeux (14) - British military cemetery
Direction: Bayeux (14) - Battle of Normandy museum
Way to follow (car travel delay: 2 minutes): Follow the same road to the South-East direction the Battle of Normand museum.
