Commemorations of the 65th anniversary of the Normandy landings

Location: Bénouville (14) – Pegasus Bridge
Dates: 5 and 6 June 2009

Ceremonies: On 5 and 6 June 2009, ceremonies were held in Bénouville, near the famous Pegasus Bridge, to pay tribute to the British soldiers and paratroopers who fought there, in the presence of veterans and French military authorities. Veterans of the Kieffer Commando also took part in the commemorations alongside their British comrades.
