Atlantic wall

The Wn 32 strongpoint is located behind the beaches, one kilometer south of Ver-sur-Mer, at the place called la Mare Fontaine. It houses the 6th battery of the Artillery-Regiment 1716 (716. Infanterie-Regiment) and is composed of four casemates H669 hosting four horse-drawn howitzers.

Composition of the Wn 32 strongpoint:

  • 4x 100 mm horse-drawn howitzers (leFH 14/19 -t-)
