2019 D-Day commemorations photos – 75th anniversary of the Normandy landings

On June 6, 2019, as part of the 75th anniversary of the Normandy landings, the Franco-American ceremony took place at the Colleville-sur-Mer American military cemetery, in the presence of US President Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron, in front of dozens of veterans who made the trip, as well as guests and under the protection of an important safety team. After the arrival of the US president aboard his “Marine One” helicopter, the presidential speeches and the recollection of the missing, the French Air Force demonstration team, the Patrouille de France, flew over the cemetery performing the “missing man” figure. Vintage aircraft, Douglas C-47s, also flew over Omaha Beach during the ceremony.
