Toutes questions bienvenues.

TT European Convention Update
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello to all,
It is quite a time I have been writing on the forum. Sorry for this. As some of you know, I am quite busy...
The TT European Convention is still going forward. Thanks to the TT friends who expressed their interest via the forum or by email.
The date will depend of our Dutch friends and of course of Mark Bando, but it would be the weekend of 22-23 September or the weekend of 29-30 September. It seems the weekend of 29-30 September would be better for more people. So please, Mark and our Dutch friends, tell me what is your best choice.
About a conference room, there is a good possibility to have one in the Seminary. As you may know, it was the 501st HQ during the battle of Bastogne. The room could accommodate +- 100 people. We could also have a computer projector system to show pictures or any other data. There is also a possibility to get meals at the seminary.
About the program, as I said before, we could listen to the speakers in the morning and to go on the field in the afternoon to see what we would have been discussed just before. For exemple, we could start at +- 09h00 till +- 13h00. Then have a meal and pass the rest of the day to visit the Bastogne perimeter with of course historic informations at the different spots.
Are you interesting in a ceremony? As you know, in the Seminday courtyard, there is a monument to 13 501st PIR soldiers who have been killed in their truck explosion on Januray 5, 1945. If you express some interest in this, we can organize a little ceremony and laying flowers in the name of the TT community.
About the accommodation, there are different possibilities, depending of your choice: hotels, guest houses and camping.
About the price. I want to keep as cheap as possible, this to allow a maximum of people to attend. I want first to know what will be the costs for the organisation of the weekend.
Then, we will see for the accommodation costs. That is why, I don't take any option for it now. People will do in regard with their budget and as I said, there are several choices.
One thing! In the price, will be a participation to help Mark Bando with his traveling costs. If he is coming from so far to be with us, I think the best we can do is to participate in his costs.
More info to follow...
All the best,
Laurent
