About Dale Atwood's stick,I have more information:
on this website(http://www.6juin1944.com/assaut/aeropus ... p?page=s11), you'll find that 1st Bn/506th RIP was carried into Normandy thanks to 439th Troop Career Command and that the DZ was the DZ C.
I can also add that Dale Atwood was in one of the planes numberer on this page.
