Ralph F. Spina, 87, passed away Sunday, Aug. 12, 2007.
Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville.
Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, with military honors. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, his memory may be honored with a donation to the 506th Airborne Infantry Regiment Association, in care of Bruce Moore III, 4126 Cole Way, San Diego, Calif., 92117-1123, or World War II Museum, 945 Magazine St., New Orleans, La. 70130.
Mr. Spina had been a Fort Worth resident since 1954, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He served in World War II as a paratrooper and medic in the 101st Airborne Infantry, Unit 506. He was portrayed in the Emmy Award-winning film, "Band of Brothers."
His family wishes to thank the employees of Interlochen Nursing Home who took such excellent care of him for the last year and a half.
