Je recherche la vidéo sur la reddition de cet officier à partir de cette photo qui a été prise à Saint-Lambert-sur-Dive.

Si quelqu'un peut me renseigner ce serai super.merci (pref20)

Il s'agit de la reddition du Hauptmann Rauch, de la 2e Panzer Division, capturé par la B Company du Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders of Canada, il fait face au Coulour Sergeant George Mitchell.
Je n'ai jamais trouvé le film en entier sur internet, des brides on en voit, mais jamais l'intégralité. Il paraîtrait que le film aurait brûlé au canada au milieu des archives ...

merci titi pour cette photo (elle est splendide et nette) et ces renseignements. Je savais que je pouvais compter sur toi, connais tu le parcours de cette officier avant et après sa captivité? .Je suis peut-être trop exigeant!

Please excuse my writing in English, but my French is rusty to the point of being incomprehensible.

I think Tristan is right, the original of the film you are looking for was destroyed in a fire at the Canadian archives in Ottawa in 1966.

If you look carefully at some of the rooflines and bomb damage in this film, you will recognize buildings in St. Lambert. Compare them to the photos in the article posted below. Also, there is a sequence in the film of a Canadian soldier shooting a Bren gun from behind a car that was certainly taken at St. Lambert.

My father is in the centre of the photo of surrendering Germans.

Shortly after this photo was taken, Major Currie ordered the photographers to go to Trun, because it was too dangerous for them to remain in St. Lambert. The battle reached its climax the next day, August 20, and unfortunately there are no photographs of it, although you can read my father's description. However, the uncropped version of the photograph to which Tristan gave a link, which includes Major Currie on the left, has been described as the only known photograph in existence of a man in the process of winning the Victoria Cross.
