Merci Dodgevince for the welcome, yes it's much easier for me to
speak english but didn't knew it was allowed on the Board. I am
cuurently developping 2 sites about the Arnhem battle. One about
the airborne cemetery and one general site. It's still quite new so it has
to grow over the years. I will post the links in the links-section of
the board. On the Arnhembridge site there are also art-postcards about Normandy, quite rare cards I think.
I also collect first-day covers.
Would be nice if you take a look.

Regards

Ron.

Hi Ron!

I've placed your post here: it's more appropriate as U can post only once on th "welcome" section...

waiting for your links, I'm sure that a lot of our members will visit both sites...

Hi Ron,
Great sites you've got there! really shows how hard the war has been on the Dutch people...

Where from in the Netherlands??

As a Rotterdam kid, my dad spent the duration of the war in the Eindhoven area... Still has terrible memories of the war and the horror he witnessed...

Were you here during the commemorations? They are going
to make the museum larger, it has been the same since many years, now they have got alot of money to invest and expand
the museum.
My mother was born in rotterdam too, she had a bad time in
the hunger-winter of 44-45.

Yeah! I guess that's why they sent all the kids to the farm lands. My dad was 10 years old. People dont quite realise over here how hard the Dutch had it during the war...

tell us more about the Museum... I'll translate for the forum members...
