Learning that a new book on the 404th Fighter Group is about to be published, I googled this book and the author and then stumbled into this forum. I'm curious to learn more about "Le 404th Fighter Group dans la bataille de Normandie" written by Philippe Trombetta ; is it set to go to the printers or can some late adjustments be made ?
Always happy to learn more about the 404th, since this Group was stationed at A-92 St.-Trond, practically in my backyard, from September 1944 until April 1945. Only three weeks ago, I was in Florida where I met a few members of the 404th. I was fortunate to be present at their reunion in 2008, and since then travelled to the States for their reunions.
We have a museum on the former airbase that is located in the city centre and have recently put up our website (a lot to put on there in the near future) :
