I just heard this morning a testimony from an american who, at 19 years old, decided to do the job to free the people in Europe. He has taken actively part in the first lines during the D-day in a tank, just after the GI's line. I have been really moved by his testimony, and could not help crying for a long time.
70 years after the event, his 2014 testimony shows an astonishing unaltered sense of patriotism and altruism.
