Slagorde – Slag om Normandië
In 1944 was de Duitse grond-grond of grond-zee artillerie verdeeld tussen de landstrijdkrachten (Heeresartillerie) en de zeestrijdkrachten (Marineartillerie). De meeste kustartilleriebatterijen op zee vielen onder de verantwoordelijkheid van de Kriegsmarine. Dit systeem, dat de coördinatie tussen artilleristen bemoeilijkte, verklaarde waarom de slagorde van de Duitse artillerie tweeledig was.
