Atlantic wall

It is at the Wn 35b strongpoint, located at Crepon (four kilometers southwest of Ver-sur-Mer), that is installed the command post of the second battalion of the 1716th regiment of artillery (716. Infanterie-Regiment).

On June 6, 1944, the British of the 7th Battalion Green Howards Regiment belonging to the 69th Infantry Brigade of the 50th Infantry Division captured the position with the support of the 4th/7th Dragoons Guard tanks.
