RIP Frederick E. Smith | 1922-2016

Frederick Smith was a member of the Army Air Force and was enlisted as a sergeant in Normandy in July 1944 from Omaha Beach.
During the Battle of France, he successively passed through Isigny-sur-Mer, Rouen and Alsace.
In Lyon, he met his future wife and in 1946, he enlisted in the French army before being demobilized in 1949. He returned to his studies, notably receiving the 1st Prize for Perspective and Architecture at the Beaux-Arts de Lyon, before returning to the United States in 1953. For his retirement, he was back in France, in Saint-André-de-Corcy.
