On June 6, 2016, a tribute was paid to the American paratroopers of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division, in the presence of several veterans: Jack Hamlin, Bob Noody, Vincent Speranza and Dan MCBride.
This ceremony was jointly organized by the municipality of Sainte Marie du Mont, the Utah Beach Museum and the D-Day Overlord Association, with the support of the World War II Foundation. Many thanks to Charles De Vallavieille, Henri Millet, Séverine Letourneur, the communication team of the Utah Beach Museum and Tim Gray (WWII Foundation).
A wreath deposit was made by Charles de Vallavielle, by Jack Hamlin for the association D-Day Overlord, by Lt Colonel Cloutier for the US Army and by the association Normandy 44 D-Days.
Roses from the Manoir de Brécourt were distributed by Charles de Vallavieille to a few participants for the flowering of the Leadership Monument.
This ceremony took place in the presence of a flag guard and a detachment of the 101st Airborne Division.
