[D-Day Overlord press release concerning the 2020 commemorations]
On April 13, 2020, the French State decided to forbid public gatherings and the organization of festivals until mid-July 2020 due to the Covid-19 health crisis.
As a result, and not waiting for the series of cancellations to come, all commemorative events have been removed from this page. For the first time since 2001, I will not have the pleasure of presenting the calendar of the D-Day commemorations on my website.
I have a special thought for veterans, some of whom left us after contracting the Coronavirus. We will not forget them, even if the commemorations will not take place as usual.
I invite you to meet on this page on June 6, 2020 for a virtual tribute, as well as next year for the organization of the next commemorations in Normandy. Until then, take care.
