Event: As part of the 70th anniversary of the Normandy landings and the Battle of Normandy, several ceremonies and events took place in Sainte-Marie-du-Mont. On June 6, a parachute drop carried out in period costume from a Douglas C-47 aircraft brought together several hundred spectators.
