The Grand Bunker - Atlantic Wall Museum

The Atlantic Wall Museum, also known as the Grand Bunker Museum, is located in the commune of Ouistreham, near Sword Beach. It is housed in a former German Atlantic Wall fire control post, whose summit overlooks the Bay of the Seine and the mouth of the Orne River. Through its original museography, it introduces visitors to the various reconstructed rooms and allows for an in-depth study of the complete history of the Atlantic Wall.

The Grand Bunker Museum details the creation of Organization Todt, the genesis of the Atlantic Wall, its defenses and equipment, the arrival of Field Marshal Erwin Rommel in Normandy, the landings of June 6, 1944, and the engagement of No. 4 Commando.
