Tribute to the commandos – 2010 commemorations

66th anniversary of the Normandy landings

Locations: Ouistreham – Bénouville – Ranville
Date: 6 June 2010

Ceremonies: On Sunday, 6 June 2010, various ceremonies were held, starting in Ouistreham Riva-Bella, a few hundred metres from where the 177 French soldiers of the Kieffer Commando landed on D-Day at Sword Beach, and continuing on to Ranville, via the famous Pegasus Bridge. French and British veterans attended, as well as a detachment of French Navy Marine Commandos.
